Step 1: Registration on National Portal
Visit the official PM Surya Ghar portal at pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Select your State, Electricity Distribution Company (DISCOM), and enter your Consumer Account Number along with your registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 2: Feasibility Approval
Log in with your Consumer Account Number and submit the rooftop solar application. The state DISCOM will review grid load feasibility and issue technical clearance.
Step 3: Vendor Selection & Installation
Once feasibility approval is received, select an empanelled vendor such as Surya Energy. Only installations completed by registered DISCOM vendors using Tier-1 ALMM-listed solar panels qualify for subsidy.
Step 4: Net Metering & Commissioning
After physical installation, apply for a bi-directional net meter. DISCOM officials inspect the plant, install the net meter, and issue a Commissioning Certificate.
